501st Legion

We are Garrison 66: The Temple Raiders, the Southwest Missouri chapter of the 501st Legion. Our mission as a Garrison is to represent The 501st Legion; spread the love of Star Wars, sci-fi, and the art of costuming to fans of all kinds; and increase awareness of costuming in every corner of our territory as well as those remote corners of the galaxy that we visit while combating the forces of the Rebel Alliance through selfless acts of charity.

Alliance of Hope

We are a group of cosplayers that pride ourselves on professionalism and enjoy helping others. The alliance was born of the desire to make kids happy and adults smile. We have been guests at comic conventions, community outreach projects, movie premieres, parties/events, and local businesses. We have several characters available for events, just let us know who you would like to have for your event.

Drury Cosplay Club

We support and encourage all cosplayers, and those who want to start to cosplay in the Drury University Community!

A club for Drury students and alumni to connect and create great cosplays! We make costumes, learn techniques and go to conventions!

Fu Hok Studio

Fu Hok Studio is a martial arts school that teaches Hung Gar and Choy Li Fut Kung Fu. It is the only traditional Hung Gar or Choy Li Fut school in Springfield, Missouri.

Heroes Alliance

The Heroes Alliance is a non-profit superhero costume organization. Our mission is to bring a "real life" superhero experience to sick, disabled, or medically-fragile children in need. We have teams across the country and we're always looking for dedicated volunteers to join us. If you're interested in joining one of our teams or possibly having Heroes Alliance volunteers out to support your children's charity event, please contact us!

KCR2 Builders Club

KCR2 Builders Club members build full scale R2 units from the Star Wars Universe.

Mandalorian Mercs

The Mandalorian Mercs, in true homage to the characters they portray, have changed and adapted over the years to support the growing amounts of people interested in Mandalorian costuming. In 2011 Mandalorian Mercs was recognized by LucasFilm LTD. as the "Elite Mandalorian Costuming Organization.

In 2012 Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club became a legally recognized 501c(7) club, as well as founded the "Little Warrior International" non-profit charity which focuses on fulfilling the needs of sick and underprivileged children.

Oregon County Relay for Life

Since 2014, our Relay For Life team has sold my SciFi novels and I've donated all profit to the American Cancer Society. I do a lot of book signings, have my novels on consignment in several regional businesses, attend "cons", meet and greet people to promote sales, and have the novels available on Amazon.com. I've donated all the profit from book sales to the American Cancer Society. We've raised over $7,000 so far, between sales and some donations collected along the way.

My first novel, "Third Moon Rising", was published in October 2013 with our sales push starting in early 2014. My second novel, "Dark Firmament", was published in July 2015, and the third novel, "Virtual Ascendance", was published in April 2016. I've written the manuscript for "Dasein Quest", the fourth and final novel in the Third Moon Rising series, and it will be available in April, 2017.

Queen City Indigio League

We are a group that wants to give back to the community while celebrating our love for Pokemon.

Rebel Legion

The mission of The Rebel Legion is threefold. First, we offer the costume enthusiast of the Star Wars hero characters a global community to enjoy, express, and share their costume talents. Secondly, the Legion also promotes the quality and improvement of Star Wars costumes. Thirdly and most importantly, we follow the lead of Lucasfilm Ltd. by giving back to the community through works of charity and volunteerism.

Springfield Lego User Group

The main focus of SGFLUG, the Springfield LEGO Users Group, is to provide a fun environment for AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO) folk to network and socialize. If you are currently working on a MOC (my own creation) or recently completed a set, please bring it for show and tell!

We meet the first Saturday of every month. This meeting is free to attend, and all AFOL are invited to join.

We hope to see you all there!

Springfield Wholigans

A group for all Whovians, Newvians, and those that are loyal to the Doctor. We are a non-biased group and we don't care if you started with Eccleston, Tennant, or Smith; or if you have been traveling in the Tardis since Hartnell or Troughton. All fans are welcome and equally important, and will be treated as such.

USS Umiak

To Boldly Go…In Honor of Those Who Led the Way!

The history of the Umiak was built on the shoulders of people who gave sometimes, more than what they had. There was little to no question as to where our loyalty lay. We stood not only for the Umiak, but for each other. We will conduct ourselves in a manner that will honor the goals and values originally set forth.

We will show honor to the Umiak, to those who lived for her, who sweated and bled for her… and to those who died while in her service….
